PRODUCT ENGINEER
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
SCREEN is a global leader in semiconductor manufacturing equipment, and we’re looking for a detail-driven Product Engineer to join our team. If you thrive at the intersection of customer engagement, technical precision, and cross-functional collaboration, this role offers a dynamic opportunity to shape next-generation solutions.
Position Responsibilities
• Drive Engineering Solutions:
Respond to RFQs for new tools and changes. Document customer design needs and initiate requests to SCREEN factories in Japan. Convert customer use cases and needs into commercial opportunities.
• Manage Change Requests:
Review and track modifications for existing equipment. Define preferred scopes and coordinate with factory engineering and service teams.
• Lead OEM Integration:
Develop specifications to meet customer requirements and manage ongoing OEM relationships.
• Champion Continuous Improvement:
Lead cross-functional teams to deliver CIP programs that meet customer goals and SCREEN’s financial targets.
• Configuration Control:
Maintain specification libraries and system configurations. Provide regular updates in customer User Forums.
• Engage with Customers:
Chair User Group meetings, coordinate factory demos, and demonstrate deep product knowledge—from modular systems to component-level specs.
• Understand the Business:
Build familiarity with SCREEN’s internal workflows and customer operations to enhance responsiveness and collaboration.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to lead and direct the activities of multi-functional teams required to support and achieve customer goals. The successful candidate will possess the ability to perform root cause analysis and reporting using industry related methodology.
Japanese language fluency is not required for this role.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
BS in EE, ME, ChemE, Materials Science, Physics, or Chemistry from an accredited institution. Some formal training in business with emphasis on sales and marketing of capital goods is a plus. Evaluation of a combination of formal education in other (BS and/or post graduate level work) disciplines and directly related experience may be made in lieu to the stated requirements.
