Summary
Description
Primary responsibilities will be to provide installation/warranty support for Polar Semiconductor in Bloomington, MN and other local/regional customers. Other regional and national support may be required from time-to-time. Daily activities include engaging in all SCREEN safety systems (SMBWA, Good Catch, Safety Stand-down, Etc), log checks, process history analysis, alarm check, in-fab and remote tool support, customer relations and support, data entry for tracking spreadsheets and tool manual information research for parts and tool upgrades. FSEs will be performing in-depth maintenance activities both preventive and as-needed repairs for failed components. FSE’s will work alongside customer MT’s and provide training and support as needed.

Desired Qualifications:

FSE should have a Basic understanding of the following.
Electro/Pneumatic high precision troubleshooting and repairs (air/liquid/mechanical/electrical/robot systems)
Electrical and Fluid diagram familiarity
Chemical handling familiarly (protective equipment and hazards)
Basic computer skills (Windows XP & Windows 7, Microsoft Office and SharePoint)
Metric hand tool familiarity (use of specialized tools and fixtures)
Able to perform basic tool body and associated support hardware installation, facilitation, setup and teaching up to and including process acceptance
Patience and caution for critical activities such as robot teaching, wafer running and nozzle teaching
A positive “Can Do” outlook and demeanor with customer and fellow engineers
A strong “Safety First” attitude about all aspects of working with SCREEN
An open attitude about expanding job activities beyond tool based work (working that benefits the company as a whole)
Willing to travel for training and additional domestic or international support if needed
Willing to learn further tool sets
Mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity and ability to lift/carry objects up to 35 pounds
Will require the use of Personal Protection equipment and proper industry safety procedures when working with one or more dangerous element or conditions such as chemicals, electric currents or high voltage, moving mechanical parts, radiation, etc

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree; or associate's degree with a minimum of 4 years of related experience; or 8 years of related experience in lieu of degree; completion of military technical training and field experience may substitute for an associate's degree
